The Bombay High Court has granted bail to Ravi Baliram Telange, who had been in custody for around six and a half months in a case registered at Bhosari Police Station. The court noted that the incident appeared to have resulted from a sudden dispute, with no prima facie indication of prior planning, and also considered that Telange had no previous criminal record. He was granted bail on a Rs 10,000 P.R. Bond with conditions.
A Pune connection has emerged in an alleged Rs 2,143-crore financial scam involving fake certificates and shell companies. The Income Tax Department is reportedly probing suspicious transactions worth around Rs 200 crore routed through a private bank in Pune, including alleged overseas transfers. Chartered accountant Shyam Kalani, suspected to be a key figure in the alleged network, has surrendered before Udgir police.
