The Shiv Sena has opposed proposed restrictions on speakers and sound systems during Pune's Ganesh immersion processions. At a meeting with the Pune Police Commissioner, party representatives demanded that Ganesh mandals be consulted before finalising any sound-related rules. While police indicated that a complete ban on loudspeakers was not being considered and discussed a preliminary limit of four bass units and four top speakers, the Shiv Sena urged that any new SOP be implemented only from next year. The party demanded that this year's Ganeshotsav be celebrated without new restrictions.

The Forest Department has developed the Kille Sinhagad app to assist with visitor and vehicle monitoring, while CCTV upgrades and other surveillance measures are also being planned. The exact date and final rules for mandatory advance booking are yet to be officially confirmed.
